The schedule for the 2025 season of the Korean Women's Professional Golf Tour (KLPGT) has been confirmed.
This year's regular tour will begin with the Blue Canyon Ladies Championship (total prize money of 800,000 dollars, about 1.16 billion won) at the Blue Canyon Country Club (par 72, 6,511 yards) in Phuket, Thailand from March 13 to 16.
The domestic opening game is the Doosan Engineering & Construction Weave Championship (total prize money of 1.2 billion won), which will be held at Dongnae Benest (par 72, 6,778 yards) in Busan from April 3-6.
It is the first time since 2007 that the opening game in Korea will be held in Busan. From 2008 to last year, the opening game in Korea was all held on Jeju Island.
This year's KLPGA regular tour will feature a total of 30 competitions, with total prize money of about 32.5 billion won (30.217 million U.S. dollars). The total prize money decreased by one competition from the previous season, and the total prize money also decreased by about 700 million won (790,000 dollars). However, the average prize money was about 1.08 billion won (1.04 million dollars), up slightly from the previous season. The number of competitions with total prize money of 1 billion won (1 million dollars) or more was 26, up from 21 last year.
There are a total of three new competitions for the new season. The Im Financial Open and Deokshin EPC Championship will be held in April, and the Aurora World Championship will be held in October. The total prize money will be 1 billion won each.
It is still unclear whether the competition will be held in the first week of June, and the total prize money for the two competitions has not been decided, so the final season prize money and the average prize money for the competition are also in flux.
Among the competitions whose schedule has been confirmed, five have seen their prize money increase. The Blue Canyon Ladies Championship, the opening game of the regular tour, went up from 650,000 U.S. dollars last year to 800,000 dollars, while the NH Investment & Securities Ladies Championship and the McCall-Mona Yongpyeong Open with SBS Golf increased from 800 million won to 1 billion won, respectively. 먹튀검증
The Doosan Match Play and S-OIL Championship, the only match play competitions of the KLPGA, increased by 100 million won each and took 1 billion won in total prize money.
On the other hand, Hana Financial Group's Singapore Women's Open, which announced the opening of last season, and Hanwha Classic, which was a major tournament, were suspended.
The competitions with the most prize money this year are the Hana Financial Group Championship and the 25th Hite Jinro Championship, which will be held in September, with a total prize money of 1.5 billion won each.
The Dream Tour, which is the second part, will be held in a total of 22 competitions, including two overseas competitions, and the total amount of prize money has not been confirmed.
The three-part jump tour, which was held last year with 16 competitions, is expected to be held on a similar scale to last season.
